Child Health Checks and Immunisations

It is vital that your pre-school child should have all its immunisations and health checks and it is practice policy to advise vaccination in line with Government recommendations. The surgery holds weekly clinics for children immunisations.

All babies need to attend an 8 week check, where they will be examined by the doctor and receive their first set of immunisations.

Family Planning

All the doctors and nurses can advise about family planning. You can make a routine appointment.  We also provide the contraceptive implant and insertion of the contraceptive coil.

Maternity Services

All the doctors can provide pre-conception advice, antenatal care and post-natal checks. Care during pregnancy is normally shared between the doctors and a highly experienced midwife who holds weekly antenatal clinics at the surgery.

Minor Surgery

We offer in-house surgery to remove skin tags, warts and injections and aspirations of painful joints. Your doctor can advise you about suitability.

Practice Nurses

Our nurses offer a wide range of services including blood taking, dressings, removal of stitches, contraceptive advice and reviews, ear syringing, dietary advice, health checks, holiday vaccination and travel advice. They can perform ECG's of the heart and test hearing. Please ask the receptionists about the full range of services.

Asthma and Diabetic Clinics

We strongly recommend regular checks at least annually; the nurses can provide this with advice on diet, medication and devices.

Well Woman Clinic

This is for women wishing a check up for their reassurance; it comprises a blood pressure check, teaching breast self-examination, smear, and urine check if appropriate as well as a general review of diet and lifestyle.

Well Man Clinics

The nurses can provide advice on diet, weight, blood pressure, cholesterol, smoking and other adjustments towards healthy living.

Stop Smoking Clinic

Our nurses provide In House Stop Smoking Clinics. Please speak to a GP or Nurse for details and how to book an appointment.
